It will play everything you put in, but you must know that there are some games (a minority of them)  that won't work if the video mode of your xbox is different from your game.

PS : why do you want to buy a PAL console, a NTSC one is cheaper.

The XBOX comes with 2 controllers, 6 games, and the DVD kit and the price is far below any other deal b/c the guy just wants to get rid of it b/c he can't play it here in the US.  Even with the cost of the chip and PS conversion, I will be far ahead of the game.
