What a fucking smartass...nowhere in your first post of the topic does it say you tried the volume control. Try exchanging the whole kit.

Word of advice when asking about something or asking for help here...don't be a fucking dick or nobody will care to answer...and be as thorough as possible with what you've tried as well as what the problem is.
