Solution: Foag Without A/v Cable
« on: January 24, 2004, 06:18:00 PM »

Hey all,
Let me first start by saying that I am aware the new bios are supposed to bypass the A/V cable check. However, on my Xecuter 2 (4981.67) the unit would FOAG (Flashing Orange and Green) without the cable (and not boot).

The solution is very simple, just connect pins 2 and 3 on the A/V connector and it will fool the xbox into thinking that the cable is actually attached.

Enjoy!

It's no big deal, but at least I don't have to carry the cable upstairs when I want to FTP to my xbox!
