well hook it up with the standard cables if it is B&W with standard cables it is a tv issue.

IF it's color with the Standard cables then its a HD PACK issue.

Read the manual of the TV to see if any setting needs to be set or changed...

Figured it out, it was a t.v. problem like you said. On the back of the t.v. it has two connecter types boxed of, YPrPb, and s-video. Apearntly the thrid video mode is S-video and was picking up some sort of an anolog signal from the YPrPb resulting in black and white. So I went hunting and found that my "DVD" button on my remote changes the t.v. to DVD mode which displays it correctly.
