Odd Display Problem
« on: January 19, 2004, 08:38:00 PM »

This is very odd. I used the b&e exploit on my xbox, it worked great. I went over to my friends house to do it to his xbox and it worked, but the screen is REALLY hard to see. Parts are moving around the screen. I see the Xbox start logo fine, but when it goes into the pheonix logo and evoX I cant make it out. All I see is small chunks flying around the screen. I tried the regular AV cables, 480i and 480p... it still does it. I re installed the original files and then I took all of the files from my xbox (works fine on all video settings) and copied them to his.. still does it. I can revert to the MS dash, and the screen is normal. I can load EvoX from 007, and the screen works.

Any idea of what this could be? The only thing I havnt done is checked to see if its pal or ntsc-j.. but both our xboxs are bought in US from a US store.

please tell me if I need to clarify anything.

This should really be in the exploit forum.

This should really be in the exploit forum.

the problem is with the image being displayed, not the exploit.
