Doesn't it tell you in the instructions.

You need to know what sync you monitor needs then set the X2VGA accordingly.

The default setting is H & V sync, and composite sync is 1st up, 2nd and 3rd down, and 4th up.  That is the only two syncs that the X2vga accept.  And no, it doesn't tell you in the instructions; i had to email them and get the info.
