Xbox Video Settings

Are you saying you are unable to load the MS dashboard, or you do not see any HDTV options in the MS dashboard? you cannot set HDTV modes from evox.
Your friend should have backed up / renamed the original dashboard, or installed evox as evoxdash.xbe / yboxdash.xbe or whatever. If he didnt, then you'll need to re-install the MS dashboard.

Yeah, it should be setup so when you disable your modchip, it loads the original MS Dash.  You'll need that dash.

You say composite cables - which don't support 480p or greater resolutions.  You won't even see the option to change the video settings if you have composite hooked up.  Do you mean component cables?

And I guess you know that no stock MS xboxdash.xbe means no settings changes.  Get a copy of slayers, extract the XISO, and copy the dash over.  It would be better to have a complete backup of your own though.
