Can't Find The Answer
« on: January 09, 2004, 07:27:00 PM »

I have been looking for schematics to put componet outputs on the xbox but can't seem to find them.  I can find s-video but I don't want that.  All I want is optical spdif (easy), composite video and L/R stereo.  Can someone link the right place or tell me what pins to use for what?

I'm confused since you mention both component video (like high def packs) and composite video (standard and packaged with Xbox).

Someone else was looking for a way to wire component (like the MS high definition cables) to the motherboard.  I don't think it exists and to my knowledge he never found it and planned to do some experimentation on his own.

Sorry if it sounded confusing, I have always called the standared 3 jacks (composite, L/R stereo) component output (as opposed to RF out).  I'm old school long before hi-definition anything! lol.

Anyway no hi-def, just 4 things: Optical spdif, composite video, L/R stereo is all i need

I mean which pins do I need for composite video out? (I think its 23..)
What pins ground out so I don't need the a/v cable at all. ?  (just pin 9?..)
I have found a link to the pinouts but I can't figure out what everything means.

Pinouts

I can figure out audio left and right, and spdiff out...
