With the home made vga cable, you wont get any options on the dashboard. You must use the HD pack to change it to 480P, then go to the VGA- this is because if the bios u r using. (of coarse, you could install some toggle switches to change pins)

OMG my cable is soon finished but I wont open up my AVIP it's allready pretty messed. I have to push it kinda hard to get it in my xbox.
My vga cable is from my hdpack so now I can't enable the new modes?
Damn is there a way to edit the eeprom to get all the modes?

I just got orginal tv's but I tested the suround sound with HD-pack so will my xbox have the modes?
Or do i have to enable them before I switch to vga?

Ok... I opened up the AVIP and set it to HDTV and then changed modes in msdash to all yes...
And I got a splitet and fucked picture in evox but a good picture in ms dash does that mean that my xbox is now sending HDTV signals?
Before I got good picture in both dashes...

But then I changed to VGA in the AVIP and got good picture in both dashes againa and wondering if it should be so...

This sound maybe wierd but I don't got my syncseporator yet so I can't test it.

Ok... I opened up the AVIP and set it to HDTV

Which pins (of 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14) need to be connected / disconnected to enable HDTV mode?
