thanks - i appreciate the answer - i didnt thinkit would make a difference if i just change the orginal to backup.xbe and then send over the changed xboxdash as the original file name.
but will do! |
If anyone is wondering... the REASON why you change the name of the evoxdash xbe that you edited, is so that you can BOOT YOUR XBOX WITH THE MODCHIP OFF. See, editing this file makes it no longer signed code, so normal bios won't allow it to boot. In other words, you can't get to your dash without using hacked bios, if your file named xboxdash.xbe is edited. Name your edited file to pxboxdash.xbe and copy it onto c, leaving the normal file alone.
You then open up your evox ini and edit it where it says xboxdash.xbe, to pxboxdash.xbe, so that you will boot progressive with your modchip on, and your dash will still work with your modchip off.
