CODE
Everyone's evo-x menu is different, so without being able to see it, know how to click into the old/original msdash (in ntsc mode and with the vga box connected etc)

Then go DOWN 1 (to Settings) and click A
go DOWN 3 (to Video) and click A
go DOWN 1 (to 480p) and click A
go LEFT 1 (to select YES) and click A
then click B

just make sure u give it a second in between each key stroke to allow the loading etc... then reboot and it should work

You can then also patch your dashboards and dvd player to work in vga etc. (I forget exactly how I did mine but they work).

Just remember, there are a few games that don't work in vga and a few more PAL games that will only run in PAL 50 so can't be run in a modded PAL box that's in NTSC mode etc.

Anything else you want to know, I will try to help. If not, head over to the vga section at xbox hacker forums. The posts are old but very, very helpful.

Good luck smile.gif

I see, thank you for your help.

I'll try a bit with my video-in first, since the x2vga will be expensive to buy for me considering postage and customs.

Which programs did you use to get s-video in at fullscreen output?

Changing to NTSC doesnt damage anything.

My Xbox is natively PAL, running in NTSC with an X2VGA absolutely fine  wink.gif

Oh, and as for customs charge, i was expecting something as well but turns out you don't get hit with any kind of extra cost  smile.gif

Customs charge depend on your location I guess. I'm located in Norway, where are you from?
