Man, this topic has a lot of replies since I checked it out last.  Anyways, I might be getting a job in the Home Theater Department at Best Buy and if I do, I am gonna put the fuckin store out of business lol.  I guess employees get everything at the price the store gets it at.  A dude there was tellin me he got a $3500 TV for $1400.  Hopefully this is true but if not, it would still be a sweet ass job!

I have a relatively cheap surround system set up(compared to some of you other rich mofos), but I do NOT have a subwoofer hooked up.  Is it worth purchasing??  Do any xbox games make good use out of the subwoofer channel????  I generally don't watch too many movies in my room, so I don't want to waste the money on the sub unless a lot of the games make good use of it.

Yea, you can get an 8" 100-watt one for cheap that will make it worth your while to at least purchase.

Well i have a surround sound hooked up to my t.v. and dvd player but not my xbox is it really worth it?

Yea, most games now have dolby digital 5.1 ability for XBox and it sounds sooo much better man.  Even if you have a cheap system, it will make it 100 times better than your experience with your TV's speakers.

sony 6.1 800 watt reciever
jbl 6.1 setup, total of 800 watts(100 watts per channel, 200 watt sub)
