Have you completed your Xbox entertainment center with a Surround Sound System?  I have and it just wouldn't be the same without it.

Well lets just put it this way when playing Halo. When you're in one of those many corridors and you have your surround sound set up, you can hear those daym little covenant guys come up from behind you!  ohmy.gif  laugh.gif

I wouldn't play Halo or any other game any other way...

hey all, new to the scene

got the xbox w/ dvd, and additional s controller 1/3/04 11am
got the Altec Lansing Xa3021 3pm

then bought Halo and Mortal Kombat... i love it, but i was dissapointed in the lack of 5.1 sound, thouhgt i was due to xbox, because i asked the salesman if i had all the goodies to make this thing rock, he said yea

now im reading and all i nead is a A/V thing and i can have 5.1,
so im returning my Altec Lansing Xa3021 for xa3051 today afterwork!!!

i love surround sound.. but i didnt want to hook my xbox into my living room w/ my onkya setup, because i dont want the kids on it, they got a ps2 i let them use on that setup, plus i wanted a good setup in my bedroom....(wifes gonna be pissed at all the cables around the room from the rear speakers beerchug.gif  oh well

yamaha 650 RDS hooked up to 4 KEFQ15 speakers, no center yet,
and a JL audio car sub connected to an arcam alpha 7 for the bass,
all finished off with a thompson 28WF201G widescreen telly and a reclining rocker chair thingy brought from Macro for £99 quid :-)

Sorry to fuck up the post, but do you need a reciever to get digital sound, (i mean the dolby sound) or can i just mod the mobo in the xbox or mod the advanced a/v cables to enable digital sound, these are my speakers. Here
