Xbox supports DD 5.1 and DTS, but you need to buy a espacial cable for it.

What cable do I need? Are there some cheap ones too (Bigben, Brooklin...)?

I am using the creative Extigy for both my xbox and pc to get 5.1 sound. You need to buy the Advanced AV pack from MS and an optical cable.
