Display Of Anger...please Help
« on: December 30, 2003, 07:57:00 AM »

Yeah, I've actually used 2 or 3 different standard a/v connectors and got the same result.  I've done a pc case mod on my xbox and am running nice and cool (CPU=98F, MOBO=83F), so I don't know that it would be a heat issue.  Would Evox have some sort of setting in the .ini file or elsewhere that would adjust the intensity of the display?  It almost seems like there's a voltage issue between the a/v out and the tv.
Anyways, thanks for the suggestion...if anyone else can think of something PLEASE let me know....it's getting annoying.

Hey guys...
I have a modded xbox (I think v. 1.1).  Anyways, ever since I bought it, it does this wierd thing where it shows the intended graphics just fine, but especially while in XBMP and sometimes in gameplay it will have two areas on the screen where it will shade it blue on the left side and yellowish on the right side of the screen.  It's not really bad to the point where it interferes with anything, but definately noticeable.  It also dosen't do this right away.  It usually starts doing it after about 15 minutes of operation.  It also seems to do it more when the are alot of light colors/white being displayed.  At first I thought it might just be that my xbox and tv didn't like each other, but I have tested it on many other tv's since then and gotten the same results.  Anyone know what this is all about?

Well, heat can do pretty much anything, but that is weird.  I'd try a different AV connection kit.
