Some high end A/V equipment uses V(vertical) and H(horisontal) sync signals.

Unfortunately, equipment like that is usually out of normal peoples price range. Like linedoublers and whatsnots.

However, you might check the specifications, if they allow it, you might use your HDTV as a computer monitor, and if so, this is the input to use. Unless of course you happen to have a VGA or DVI input, in which the latter is the best option.

But for the most part, consider it "unusable" for anything else than the above (including xbox and most consumer electronics)
