It seems from comments on this board that you can't get a standard 480i image with component cables? That strikes me as odd, but if it's true you'd have to be sure your TV is HD compatible.

I believe your PAL games will work. You may have System Link issues with games like Halo when playing against PAL boxes with your new "NTSC" box. Live should work fine.

But I don't really know :-)

I have the HD pack on a modded PAL XBox.

No problems at all.  Most games will run in either NTSC or PAL so I leave mine in NTSC to take advantage of 480p.  For the very few that don't I switch to PAL.

Also, There are NO problems with the HD Pack on a PAL Xbox running 480i
