Help With Divx Playback
« on: November 19, 2003, 04:15:00 AM »

Well, I never tried to play divx files from the disc, but I play divx files all of the time right off of my pc hard drive to my xbox. It has no trouble whatsoever. Are you sure that your xbox dvd drive reads the disc? what drive do you have?

As long as your DVD drive can read the disc, you can play it right off the disc.  The default config file for XBMP has the D: drive mapped, so just go to it and you should see your file (if the drive can read it).  XBMP recognizes CDs in ISO, UDF 1.02 and 1.5 (not 2.0 in my experience though...).  If your drive doesn't read it, use RelaX or a Samba share from your PC over the network.

Does your drive recognize the disc? Maybe you should see if you can transfer the file to your hard drive and play it. If you can't then your drive  may not be reading the media.

you can just burn using nero, you don't have to make an xiso, xbmp can read udf and iso
