QUOTE (lukin36 @ Oct 24 2003, 10:00 AM)
I tried plugging them in to the other set of jacks in the back of the tv and it splits the screen in half.

There should be a setting to tell it to NOT do that.   dry.gif

Anyway, the first thing I'd do is take your XBOX to the dealer where you got the Apex, and plug it into their demo unit and see if it does the same thing.  If not, it's just your TV.  If it does, it's either your XBOX, or some strange issue with that model of TV and the XBOX.

I've had the same problems with games being dark.  I have to wait a few minutes, then either cycle through the inputs, or unplug and reconnect the video cables, then it looks fine.  It only does it in 480p though.  I'm using a Dell LCD TV and had a replacement shipped and it did the same thing, so I'm going to try a different HD AV pack and see if that helps at all.

well model of tv would help but I think its because you may have your component inputs in the hdtv plugs on the back of the tv which may be video 1 try the other set which is just for progressive scan video 2.    Now this might sound stupid but how about changing the brightness level on the tv or in the game menu?  also look at the video settings on your xbox

Ahhh APEX thats all you had to say ..... take your reciept and tv back to store and get your money back and save some money and buy a real fucking hdtv...

that piece of shit tv... I know its like 799 on sale just a big piece of garbage.... also if you do take it back or plan on buying a hdtv down the road make it a 16x9 and never buy a projection tv that doesn't at least come with a screen protector....

Only apex was good for was thier dvd player that would play 2pac songs burned on to a pancake...

Hey Mathias, don't f**k about man, just give to him straight.

The TV may have different brightness etc setting per input, the manual or the retailer should be able to tell you.
