Can You Use Analouge Surround On The Xbox?

If by analog surround you mean Dolby Pro - Logic, then you don't need any extra cables for that.  Pro - Logic uses the standard red & white RCA cables.  Just change the Audio settings in the MS dashboard to Surround.

Those are actually direct channel inputs/ouputs, which means you need a separate decoder.  You will often see '6 Channel Direct Input' on recievers that are "Digital Surround Ready".  Meaning they aren't actually capable of processing a surround signal, but if you have a separate decoder, then you can use the Direct Input to output the signals to your speakers.
