Composite
« on: October 15, 2003, 02:34:00 PM »

Ok, in my room, i have gamecube, xbox, dvd player, and otehrs that require the use of my TVs one composite video input. My dvd composite cables are gettin loose and shit.
for my snes and nes and ps1 and n64 and sega, i have an RF switcher or whatever it is called. so basically it is a little black box with a cable out put and a button corresponding to this.
What i want is a simmilar thing, but for composite video cables.

Does any1 have one or know of one, cuz i really want one, i dont want my cables damaged.
thanx

Why don't you use a metal case with a 5 way single pole wafer rotary switch to build one. The graphics from the Snes etc are not as worthy as the Cube and the box so this simple and cheap manual method would be fine.

ok, i am not 2 sure

this one, is 35 bucks Canadian, has 4 outputs for a/v
http://www.radioshac...alog=RadioShack

this one, is 50 bucks CDN, and is the same, BUT IT SUPPORTS S-VIDEO
http://www.radioshac...alog=RadioShack

my tv does not support s-video, but teh switcher that supports s-vdeio converts the s-video to composite, -> WILL IT IMPROVE THE PICTURE? or have any other effects? or will it look teh exact same?

thanx

cuz this will be the purchasing point, if it will imporove teh quality, but converting my svideo to the composite on my tv, i iwll by the oen that suports s-video..

thanx
