I use FlashFXP also and never have I had a problem.
---HOWEVER---
I've had this theory about burning data to cdrw and trying to let xbmc read it then copy/move it to wherever you need it.  It might also work with boxplorer.  if you try it, please let me know how it works.

Try using Filezilla, its a free open-source FTP client. Also, try explaining your problem a little better, what error are you getting, how are you trying to ftp, what with?

Do you mean that you can't get an FTP connection made between your xbox and PC?

yeah there is. burn the skins to a CD-RW and copy them over using a file manager of your choice on your box.

i was just in the same situation as him, due to i dont like FTPing, so i burned them to the cd and everything went well with the filemanager of unleashx. Good idea!   biggrin.gif

From the sounds of it you already have xbmc on the machine.  I'm telling you...I never ftp at all and I constantly move stuff between my computer and xbox.  File Manager in XBMC is about the coolest thing ever.  Just navigate inside through smb networking at your golden.   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I know others have answered, and that this an old post, but if I can help I will.
The solution of copying to CD then by file manager will work but there are still two things to consider;

1. XFS/FATX (Xbox File system) - this is the cd format that the xbox understands and can read raw data from. It will not read from a standard FAT formatted CD/CDRW. You can use software like ISO Magic or similar to place your files onto CD then to the xbox file manager.

2. Most Xbox Samsung and Thomson DVD drives dont like CD/CDRW/or DVD-R discs. I've found the most success with Samsung drives using DVD+R discs. Place your files on these and you should be okay.

- To transfer files without FTP I sometime use an Action Replay (USB-to-PC) xbox memory card.
1. Connect the device to your PC.
2. Use Explorer to put the files you want on the memory card.
3. Put the memory into your Xbox, then use the file manager to move the files to your skin directories.
