Xbmc Not Recognizing F Drive
« on: June 08, 2006, 01:35:00 PM »

OK, Here is the scoop.  I'm running a V 1.1 Box with Xecuter 2.3b Lite+ Chip modded with current X2 Bios and running XBMC.  I just upgraded to a 160 GB HD to be able to drop my music library and games onto it to use with XBMC with ease.  I am having the same problem I had with my old HD in that when I enter the "Games" or "Emulators" tabs under APPS, I get nothing to show up, even though I have several games loaded on the F Drive, and SNES as an emulator. (Its only looking to the E Drive)  Also, I want to transfer all my music to my XBOX so I have a hard copy when I move it in the house or remove it entirely from my house and wireless network.  It's probably a path issue, and I'm probably just telling XBMC to look in the wrong location, but for as much as I have done to my XBOX, I just cant shake this one.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

You need to tweak the .xml a little. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

yeah right now XBMC is set to look in the E: partion of your HDD when in fact you have them set in your F: partion.  So you need to either 1.  relocate your emulators to be in the F: or tweak the xbmc settings to have the deafult folder be in E:

PS: if you dont get a good response here and cant figure it out I'll be more than happy to assist you on my site (cus i'm not too active here anymore) Gamer-Shack

Thanks for the reply, and I have found my error.  I had saved the xml updated to my comp, but then failed to trasnfer it over when I installed my new HD in my XB, so all of the old paths were still active, which like you said use E:\ as the default.  I just transfered over the xml file which changed all of my paths to f:\, and I was golden.  Thanks for the input.
