Xbox Dash Wont Load

ok heres my problem and how i think it happened...

when i turn on my xbox with no game in the drive it flashes wot looks like an updater panel then that dissapears and all that is left is the green background of the msdash...

games still work if they are in the dvd drive when it is powered up

i have tried reinstalling the softmod (i did have UXE installed) by replacing the /fonts folder and the evox dash file and that didnt fix it...
so then i reformated the whole hdd using 'xboxhdm' so now all i have on c: is the UXE evox dash and the /font folder
..and it still is stuffed

the thing is all games are in french as i changed the xbox language to french before it stuffed up for the hell of it.... is this possibly y it is stuffed?
and if the whole HDD was reformated then shouldnt the language be reset.... and becoz it is still french does this mean that the language is stored elsewhere...

even tho my language problem is off topic... i think it may be the contributing factor to the xbox's problem

oh yeh... and how do i fix the xbox :P

btw i dont have the xbox dash files anymore as they got deleted in the reformating of the xbox HDD

Coldboot your xbox with Slayer's or Auto Installer Deluxe 2.1 and reinstall the m$ dash.

thnx dude...
im on dial up so i got my brother to d/l it sumwhere else

will slayers boot even tho evox isnt workin... coz doesnt the xbox not play non m$ stuff unless modded

and i jst tried the xbox wif games n its not playin em  :angry:

it was b4

grrrr

will slayers still work?

If you can boot a modded bios. If you can get the BIOS running. then yes it will boot.

ok
so say if i were not able to get a modded bios goin... coz honestly i dont no the 1st thing about bioses... wuld i b able to get the ms dash reinstall exb or uno how i mean (the ms dash files) off the slayers rom and into xboxhdm cd so i can read the xbox hdd on my computer and install them from that....

does that make any sense?
