yes, using rien in the orb options means that nothing will be displayed.

rien means nothing.

I love how Dash2Gam is also educational.

I just made 2 Blue skins, which i think turned out really good

sorry for the large pics

The 1st is a blue M$ skin with the D2G logo in the orb

user posted image

And the second is the same but with the xbox orb (i used the xbox4.xbx from the UIX blue skin)

The pics are a bit darker than the skin appears on the xbox ( the cellwall is alot clearer on an xbox) but you get the idea

sunn02 if you want to remove the orb from these you can do it with the skin.ini the same as for the M$ one

anyone wants one (or both) of these for their xbox let me know and i will upload it so you can download it

So no fix to make the dash run in NTSC 1080i? Some of my games have parts of the screen cut off, I believe due to them running in PAL 60 (the games run in the same mode as the dash you're using to select them, correct?).

Jack when I connect to my xbox via ftp (using flashFXP) i have C, Dvd, E, F, G, MUSIC, P, UDATA and TDATA

Inside the Music folder is another folder called music, thats where you put the files

Thanks for your reply about my skins (one of my 1st attempts ) but i have one problem with them that I am trying to get rid of, The Music panel that comes up when you push (x) at the main screen has green buttons still, is this a texture or part of the color.ini?

Brandogg, i dont have a high def TV or any knowledge on the subject, maybe load the M$ dash as an app and change it through there? all i can suggest is that it is a BETA thing, did v2.3 have 1080i?

Ill upload them as soon as i figure out how to fix the colour of the music panels buttons, damn things keep staying green and also parts of the audio menus (behind the track listing is green)

ill have to try to find where it is in the colour.ini or skin.ini cause ive already checked all my textures

that aside i should have them up soon

The buttons for the music panel are in the texture CPico.xbx.

there wasnt a Cpico.xbx in the XIP so i used the one from the 2gam skin so i could tell what i was doin, ive edited it to the way that i want it and put it in the xip but it still comes up green when i upload it

If you are modifying a skin.xip file that never had a CPico.xbx texture in it, you must edit the default.xap file to include a reference to CPico.xbx.

You can add any textures you want, just as long as they are referenced in the default.xap.

I added extra GameHilite textures to mine so that each tab is a different color.

If you open up the default.xap file in notepad you will see how to add a new texture.   You need to add in this info:

Transform
{
    children
    [
        Shape
        {
            appearance Appearance
            {
                texture ImageTexture
                {
                    url "CPico.xbx"
                }
            }
            geometry Mesh { url "skin.xm" }
        }
    ]
    translation 0 0 300
}

Alternatively, I would suggest using the 2GAM skin.xip and adding your new textures to that file since it has a different layout than the old skin.xip files.  The music panel buttons used to be separate files, but now they are all in one texture.

If you modify the 2GAM one to look how you want it, you will be more compatible with the new version of Dash2gam.  What I usually do is extract all the textures and go through them one by one to change them to what I want to see.  Then I copy the original skin.xip file to a new folder and insert all the new textures, replacing the old ones.
