Xbox Dashboard Deleting Files?
« on: October 29, 2004, 12:28:00 PM »

Xbox V1.0 (JP)
TSOP FLASH
Xecuter2 v4981
HDD Model: Barracuda 7200.7 - ST380011A
No LIVE!
Xbox IP: 192.168.1.6 (CLASS C Network)
Always connected to internet by router.

After the release of Burnout 3 i've updated my dashboard with the update that came with this game because of support for Progressive dashboard, to use with my X2VGA.

After complete update, i've set the default dashboard to be XBMC (renamed the default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe) in C drive and pointing the config to look for XBMC home at F:\apps\xbmc and used the xbox without a problem for a few days after that. After one week without turning my Xbox on (without remove the powercord from outlet), the original dashboard showed up (clock was OK).

Using a EVOX CDRW to get FTP access to xbox hardware, i've noticed that the evoxdash.xbe in drive C was deleted. I can be classified as a advanced user and i know for sure that i've not changed or deleted this file.

Also i did a search for "evox" string in the updated files, games and have not found nothing. The last game that i've played before the deletion of evoxdash.xbe was B3. This was the first time that a file was deleted without my permission.
