I use UnleashX and even built my own multi-game DVD Builder for it... and it works great.  MXM is good as well, but it has a bug in it that can take forever to boot the CD/DVD if you put 1 too many games on the disc (this happened to me when I tried to make a 8 emulator compilation DVD and has been verified by others as well).  BenJeremy has said that he is to fix this in the next public release of MXM... but until then, if you want to use MXM to make the multi-game DVD, I suggest using version 0.9.n5 instead of the latest 0.9.n6 (as 0.9.n5 didn't seem to have this slight bug (not really a bug... but an annoyance)). Still I suggest that you just use UnleashX and goto UnleashX.com and grab my multi-game DVD builder... it will make it easy for you...

Eh, yeah, as you spend hours waiting for it to search the entire DVD's directory structure for Skins and XBE's even if you set depth search limits, that do not seem to work.

I've tried everthing to circumvent this problem, but it still insists on searching.

On some disks it can take quite a long while to start up as a result.

Ultra exageration? It takes all of 6 seconds for me.

I don't understand whats up with that then, it might not be the quickest but 6seconds is nothing to me

Tell me about it.

I've been thru this with the author at length some time ago.

He couldn't spot the problem either even when I posted the config files.

I do know that it's transversing the DVD's folder structure.

If the folder depth is shallow, it comes up in about 10-40 seconds.
That is, the "Matrix" screen will come up right away, thereafter it goes on churning for 10-40 seconds.

If the folder depth is extensive, it can go on for 3-4 minutes! Quite tedious.

I've tried custom menus which I've edited by hand.

I've also tried with Craxtion, that many people are using, just to preclude something idiotic I've done.... like forgetting a close parenthesis.

I get exactly the same results with either.

No, no exagerations at all.

I do have a tad bit of experience at this stuff, heh.
