guess what , i have a black screen with a white x with 3 cubed sign nex to it, and under it says x2 kernal 4978 lololol

im so screwed... my dvd drive doesnt boot to my evoxdvd as it did b4, so i cant establish connecton to ftp like b4... and i was thinkin buying a new hdd,

now the problem is, how am i going to back itup and setit up to run on a 1.1 xbox when i cant back up my c and e and x and y and z.. on my origional.... i have another xbox, it is a 1.2 and its only for xbox live, i guess its all the same as the first one i baught on first day nov 17 2001 right? lolol probly not

so this might be a good thing or bad thing , - the whjole situation, so im wrtiting to u guys to help me decide apon that ....

bTW what bios ya running: ? - as far as i know, EvoX d6 Eject and Later WILL allow a Disk boot W/O HDD even being present

ok m8, the bios ya got is all good - cant ya HOLD "A" on bootup and FTP in ?? if not try this

Also what i meant was, unplug the IDE cable, yes the ribbon type thing from ur HDD, just leave it connected from motherboard to DVD drive and then hanging where it WOULD plug to HDD.

Try turning on ur Xbox Holding "A" preying for FTP 2 kick in -
if it does plug the iDE back into the HDD and FTP ur backup off the PC back on

If it donT, insert a slayers auto installer or something simular, power down the xbox, leave the ribbon OuT again, boot up, if the disk loads, insert the ribbon and FTP away

if NEITHER work, i dunno m8, im stuck 4 ideas, ya gonna have 2 let me know WHAT is happening and what u can and cant do, try to eliminate as many possible causes as possible

and i was just saying that my EvoX d6 bios boots stuff with the HDD ide unplugged, but as u have a much newer bios than that, my guess is ur bios should be cool with that also, but as i not tested that i cannot tell ya, sorry m8, perseverence and elimination R the keys here i think, good look, and hope ya get somewhere with all this

no, nothin s happining, by the way, im not even su wich ip address to use when i connect from there, ... i used my evox on and my nexgen one.. they worked b4 ... so...

but nothing is happining,lol and i just got a modchip, x2lite 2.2 so nw im in the cromwel buios thing, black screen, and i have to boot a cd with bios upgrade... my evox cd didnt work.. it had bioses .. so im burning just a plane 2 bos.,, d6 and m7 eject fix both of them ... all on one cd...

dvd rw i meen..

so if u have any other ideas, id be glad to hear them, thanx alot though...

oh and i broke 2 of my other xboxes 4 and this my third lol
