It's not 3-D, but a cleverly done application of 2-D elements to give it the look.

3-D is coming for MXM, though....

well i'm glad they released the source, maybe someone wil take it and finish it. Those mxm screens might look close to it in screenshots, but after having installed it i can say mxm doesnt animate anything like the nexgen dash or the msdash. Untill mxm actually goes 3d im sticking with the beta nexgen i got...
