this tweak is fucking amazing... heet thank you for bringing this to my attention via efnet. I installed it and it brought my lan upload speeds from 920kb per sec to like 1100. Not a huge change but ill take every byte I can get right now. Anywho my case its a ram issue, i only have 64 mb of ram, with at least 256 i bet it would increase a fuck of alot more. once again awesome post I appreciate this. As for that one dude thinking this app has spyware if it does I have detected none.

Originally I had an 100mbps network card in P2 333 and I used to get 900K a sec. Then I bought a 1.7ghz with 256meg of ram I still got 900K. Then I realised that windows was wrongly identifying the card as an earlier model and only giving me 10Mbps., tried removing the drivers and installing the correct ones but windows wouldn't let me and always decided it was the slower earlier model.
Then I bought a new network card and my transfers went up to 4-5meg a sec upload to xbox 6meg download.

Then I burnt my processor and MB out with a little too much overclocking (The processor socket had physical burns on it and the processor truned brown over about a 1/3 of the underside)
So I upgraded to a 2.4ghz 800fsb hyperthreaded monster with 1/2 gig of 400mhz ddr.
No increase in speed on tranfers but then I set flashfxp to run on one of my "virtual" processors in XP and bang the transfers increased to 10meg a sec.

All transfers were based on how long a 1gig vob took to send to the xbox (Or from) using a stop watch.

This is the same for the XBOX it's duplex settings are mostlikly set to AUTO I have not verified this and I would be surprised if it was locked at 100/full

It auto detects, I still got my old P2 333 which has a 10Mbps card and my new machine with a 100Mbps card.

I tried hot swapping the cables while evox is loaded (With info dash skin) and you can see when swapping them the xbox correctly detects 10Mbps/100Mbps and half duplex and full.
I would post pics but I don't think there's any need plenty of people can confirm what I'm saying.

keep in mind that it isn't always related to the computer hardware/cables/hub etc.

I have a V1.0 xbox with an 80gb seagate. My brother has a stock v1.1 xbox with 10gb seagate.

With the exact same version of evo-x hooked up to the same port on the network. My xbox gets about 8mb transfers. My brothers gets ~500k. If anyone can explain that without blaming the network or my setting i will give you a cookie smile.gif

Is your brother left handed? Does he talk with a slight Maltese accent? Is his moon in Sagittarius this month?

Did you buy your networking equipment from the same guy jack bought the magic beans from?

Did I say you're stupid, or lieing? Nope, I said a 100Mbps network can only transfer at 12.5Mbps max.

The software is being stupid as I said.

Yeah, Mage is right. FlashFXP sometimes reports incorrect speeds... dunno why.

The most reliable way is to manually calculate based on the number of bytes transferred with the time elapsed.

rolleyes.gif Sorry about jumping at you but it's what I saw. It never had that problem before. Every once in a while it'll post those speeds. uhh.gif

label: try a different cable. that might be your problem. it worked for my buddy.

as for me, i did try a different cable and no go. but i do have a question for any networking gurus. in my network connections dialog in windows xp, my network card is set to autosense. however, there is another icon called "Internet Gateway." When I click on this, it says 10.0Mbps. I have a linksys router with 4 port 10/100 switch. i also have a cable modem. is there anyway i can change the internet gateway to 100Mbps?
