Yea just so a bunch of "which dash is best" polls don't stay pinned to the top of this forum I'm going to close this one for now.

I would really like to see the outcome of this poll being in a neutral forum and since the updates. The last one I made I placed in the Avalaunch forum and in came right beofre the crucial updates of Ava and MXM. Please leave your opinions and what dash you are currently using along with any plans on switching soon.

I am currently using MXM dash which I switched to about 2 weeks ago and haven't wanted to go back since. beerchug.gif

Edit: I just noticed my mispelling of the word Supreme in the title, isn't that a bitch. If a mod could please change that for me, that would be great.  laugh.gif

as I said over in the MXM forum:

QUOTE
I honestly believe that the only people who haven't voted for MXM are those who haven't tried it, or those that didn't spend the time to set it up a little, there really is no comparison. Sure, a feature here and there, but a feature does not a dashboard make, and Evox and Ava are permanently relegated to Application status on my box.

Definitely MXM!

I also definitely like that fact that both the MXM author and Avalaunch authors actually listen to their users suggestions.. and, it a lot of cases, actually implement them.

Way to go all of you smile.gif

I think it's not about how little you like the other dashboards - but how much you like your favorite dashes...  All dashes has it's audience and target people... and I also belive all dashes are unreplacable on their own areas.

It's not a competition, it's about covering all different areas =)

( I mean, even if I was the only one using ava - I'd still program it with as smile )

but why call it a dash, I think a dash is a central place from where you can launch games and apps, view all kinds of xbox status, chat, update your bios, etc.

I use mxm as a central place from where I launch gamesa and apps, view all kinds of xbox status; if I want to chat, I use avalaunch, and updating the bios will be in a newer version of MXM, until then, I don't need it.  It's got FTP, support for game and application help screens (a big plus).  Seriously, it wasn't till I took a close look that I could consider MXM a dash.

With a little work, I'd like Avalaunch.  MXM requires too much time to configure.  I barely have time to play, much less sit there writing XML pages for my dashboard dry.gif

Its good stuff but just requires too much extra time.

How can you not consider MXM a full fledge dash? Flashing the BIOS is the only thing that Evox has that MXM does not. Avalaunch does not support updating the BIOS, but you consider that a dash? To me the only the real competitors in this race are MXM and Avalaunch. Both have their can't live without features and will support flashing the BIOS in the near future. I consider anyone that is using evox and wants more from their everyday dash look to MXM and Avalaunch. MXM really gives you the "wow" factor when launching games and apps. The skins to come will definately be something nice and unthought of during evox's reign. Please if you haven't used all three recently, do not comment on dash you may have tried 1-2 months ago. This is just my .02 cents   cool.gif

Edit: leisenstein have you looked into the new autoconfigure options for MXM? Setting up this dash couldn't be easier. Dropping a simple file into a game directory is well worth the time it takes to see a slick little preview for each game or app.

Other than some cool preview screens, does MXM do anything that the others don't do?
Does it have any great features not available in the other dashboards?
Does MXM come with an easy way to flash your bios?

After I installed it I realized these dashboards just launch programs,... that it.  Nothing fancy needed there.

Actually, I prefer simplicity.

as of right now im in love with chihirox. When i look for a dash all i care about is launching stuff from it. Nothing more nothing lese. So that leaves the look and feel of things and let me tell you chihirox looks like a professional gui that belongs in a xbox or ps2 game. It really made me say WOW. If ava can top the look and feel of chihirox ill jump ship in a heart beat. but for right now all i can do is drool for the english version of chihirox. I made a post/poll in the emulation section  a hundred or so words long ranting about why i chose chihirox and dont want to explain it all over again if interested go dig it up its probably a page or so back by now. I can litteraly go on and on and on about chihirox if the features hikaru are implemented are true. And if he will continue this project like i hear ill never leave chihi. Of cource unless avalaunch can amaze me gui wise. If you really want my personal opinion, i think mmx or what ever avalaunch evox chihirox and the others should merge and work on one super project to pretty much murder everybody and everything that has any connection to the xbox but that will probably never happen. Peace.

still using evox, and still seeing no reason for using any other dash yet. I dont sit looking at my dash, all i ask is that its easy to use and doesnt have bloatyness and delays in it..if that makes sense smile.gif
