from the bigger news post, if you read the hole thing what they ar esaying is that all the premods shipping out, which is in a day or 2 so it says. will be shipped overnight and have the new not released nexgen on them!!! so that means it will be out for some people hopefully 1 of these 8 people getting these pre mods will release it !!!!!

Thanks gainpresence. That is exciting then. I was confused because the gotmod store had changed hands before and whenever people would ask questions about the store in the forums people would say they aren't affiliated, so don't ask questions. I thought maybe the store hosted the website in order to attract business.

sorry its just gotten comical...im not bashing nexgen tho, I like it and think its nice of the guys to work on it.....I just think its funny how many posts say things to make you think that its on the verge of being released but the threads are two months old....sorry if it seemed like a bash. I think the threads and the whole idea of ITS COMING!!! are just funny, not nexgen.

From what 1 of the GotMod team members said, Team GotMod is basically dead and is not working on neXgen project anymore, instead they gave the source to Team Xecuter and they are working on it.

I dont know this for sure, but thats what he told me.

MORE NEXGEN NEWS [31 March 2003]

We're currently working on an operational pre-release. Still a few things being finalized (FTP, Skin / Theme support / Rendering Engine) but its almost there. We will be releasing a skin / theme development package for budding GFX guys, of course the best work will be included with subsequent releases. Much input from Team Assembly is in progress for the settings area of the dash. Our ultimate aim is for this project to become opensource like XBMP - so everyone gets to make this THE ultimate dashboard for your xbox.

Another PreRelease, not to be "Bashing" or anything, but its been like 5 to 6 months, and its still only in a PreRelease stage? Or is that just a figure of speech... hehe.

Im really serious about this question though...

Still working on 0.95, or a newer build? (I just know you guys have something though, came across a screen of the new build one day). :-)

hmm. 5 months guys , not a single update or bug fix. if there is a new version coming?. is this the support its going to get?
i remember reading 2 or 3 months ago that "the bugs in the original release were %100 fixed , expect a release soon", damn if this is soon, whats a long time.

dudes if you guys had fixed the bugs from the 1st one. why not release it. just the bug fixes then work on the improvements

not such a bad idea hey. either way there is alot of us out here that would like to see a release oneday.
If you guys are still at it coding away , it would be nice to hear about it , and maybe just a short update here and there to let your dashes fans know how cool it will be when its done

Well, MXM didn't get a forum because I specifically was waiting before letting Xantium create one... I was actually waiting until 1.0, but I felt 0.9i was a pretty big update, and the first version specifically set up to allow usage as a dashboard.

As for the updates on neXgen, I'd love to see some screenshots (I was offered access to their source, but alas, I was unable to connect), but as I've stated in the past, caution is the key word here for the team working on it. They are trying to avoid the hype that lead to the disappointment when the alpha was rushed out.

Team Assembly has been very quiet... I can only take that as a sign that they are hard at work on it. Undead's presence here on X-S has been sorely missed, but hopefully we will be rewarded with the efforts of their hard work soon.

IMHO and without trying to sound harsh (which I'm not)
Nexgen haven't done anything to deserve a section here at xbox-scene, all they have done is made a semi working alpha demo. They don't even "have" a dash yet.

ive held off saying this for a while because i was waiting until the point the dash actually came out so i could throw this out of my head but as times goes on and this section becomes more stagnant i think its time to delete this room and move the posts into dashboard (other) or homebrew.

just my 2p
