Well first thing to do is SLAP your son.

EvoX SHOULD load off the cd before anything else.
When you say you are unable to log onto the Xbox what exactly do you mean? Doesn't Nexgen load at all?

I actually have seen many post of someone putting nexgen as the first bios to use when booting and then people saying they can't boot off anything.

neXgen is not a bios, its a dashboard and has nothing to do with the bios.

Nextgen loads up but there is no option to set ip and it will not the unit boot from the dvd and I have tested the dvd on another Xbox and I have had another dvd on mine and still will not boot from dvd. Is there any way to edit the drive directly from me computer. blink.gif

try to ftp into the xbox with the username and password as nexgen.

You should be able to remove the neXgen files and replace evox.

I had a similar problem. What I had to do was put my XBOX HD into my PC, and unlock it.
Once unlocked, Evo X CD would boot fine.
