I hope so... Its hard to believe in somethin though when the site has just been sold, and their hasnt been a pinch of news of neXgen for 4 months.

I think it will become reality, but who cares? I haven't heard a single feature that will be bundled with it that isn't already out their. Flashy graphics don't impress me,  I would only be impressed by new features.

(Note: A dvd decrypter on my xbox is not worth my time, so I hope they don't think that will have any real value...)

The proponents of Nexgen seem to mainly like the "look" of it. With skinning for Evox getting better and better, I think these people will slowly care less.

I never even really thought it was that "nice" looking... the main globe/sphere is OK (when looked at alone, not next to the real one), but everything after that... sucks ass.  Who said the game saves manager was good for listing alot of things every time you turn on the box I can see twice the number of items in evox.

I just never saw why evox beta had more features and less bugs then nexgen who had a more then generous head start (6 whole months).

I like cool looking things, and I think neXgen is cool looking.   I'd use it for my general dashboard if:

- It didn't take so long to load
- FTP worked without "out of memory" or other problems
- The loud annoying sound when browsing list of games was gone or changed to a click or something
- Ability to add a link to an auto-generated list on the main menu (like F:games search)

For the loading thing, they could cache the little pictures somewhere that would make loading much faster after the first time.   For the FTP thing, well, I don't know but maybe they could use the FTP server thingy that XBMP uses.   It seems to work, and supports PASV.   The loud sound, well, you can turn off all sounds, but it would be nice to be able to change individual sounds.

I hope they finish the thing, seems like a waste of time if they don't.

I really hope they release a new version soon. I think Nexgen looks great and I prefer a 3D dashboard on the Xbox. The problem with evolution x is that you have skinning, but the design is not that flexible. For example my TV cuts a few centimeters of the screen. So that information far out on the screen is not visible, basically making most skins unusable. What I don't understand is why they have not released any new versions, ages ago they said that they fixed the FTP bug. The FTP bug is the only bug that keeps me from using it as my main dashboard.

i am being forced to use Evox just because it is more stable.. I tried NeXgen and i love it, but it started to show extra partitions in the HDD and to luck up and to not load games, just had to go back to Evox and all problems disappeared...

I hope a new and way better version comes out

Use a photo editing program to edit your .jpg for your T.V. This is not an EvoX issue. It is your T.V.

nexgen is so much better then evox the way its made it needs some work though. i hope they come up with a new verison soon.

i think its cleaner theres music 3d looks are better, but dosenot have allot of options they need to have the user cosyomize it  allot more.

just because it has flashy graphics and stuff?

If you really want a full feathered dash go with xbmp; it l33t and has more features then both dashes..  Only drawback is that it doesn't have bios flashing utility/ but you can easily add one..

i remember reading a post from ubergeek that was dated 16th of feb. claming that all bugs had been fix expect a release soon. hmm that over a month ago now.... still nothing. to me it seems as though its dead in the water.. not to be completed....
if they were and had fixed 100% of the bugs as uber stated we would have a proper beta1 to play with now.

no matter , i do luv the dash , its going to stay my default untill either EVOX updates their dash or someone else makes a cool 3D dash

Although EVOX is a good featured dash and stable its quite dull to look at.    
oh and dont say get better skins , thats not what im taling about
