So I loaded up NeXgen, and got the default screen, and maybe I am just a lazy bastard, but can someone tell me why I would want to take the time to re-input all the settings I put in my evox.ini file?

What will neXgen give me (that I might actually want) that Evox does not?

EvolutionX will be my personal preference. NexGen is just a nice, EARLY app that resembles the MS dash. But, that's not worth switching to it from EvolutionX

I am using evox as my default, but I added nexgen to my main list on the evox screen.
I love the way nexgen pulls the game icon to be used for the list of games in storage.
I also still use my evox to pull games too. I put all the games in F:/games/ folder
and just changed my evox ini so i can use both. =o)

if my modchips ever arrive, i plan on playing around with nexgen.. i've used evox before and liked it, but haven't had a chance to check out nexgen yet.. hopefully tomorrow.. yeah.. tomorrow..

Its not ready for Buisiness.
Plain and simple.
If it doesnt match the functionality of least EvoX then why run it?

The last release Was a demo.
Just another alternative dashboard in the rough.

You would think that folks would not get
so upset over free underground hackbox software...

What i' wondering is why the hell it doesnt have at LEAST the fetures the first evox beta had... how long ago was the first beta

The cloning/p2p tools could be usefull when they are released aswell.

Simple.. If it doesn't "grab" you, or none of the features that will be implemented in the final don't "grab" you, then you shouldn't use it.. This is the homebrew scene, software is made and released to the public, frankly, nobody but you will give a fuck what dash you use.

Must agree with Erexx

It jut isn't ready for distibution, instead of adding snow and music they should have spent more time in completing all the promissed features. A team that comes out that late on the scene with a "new" dash shouldn't come out with a not complete version.

Me personally I like the graphical layout but don't use it because of the many bugs, long load time and not that customizable *.xml file.

Hope they'll wait long enough and come out with a finished one !
