Problem Booting Into Dash Help!

Make an evolutionx boot cd with correct networksetting in the evox.ini.
Boot with that cd and then Ftp the evolutionXdashboard back to your HD.

Peace of cake and don't use nexgen as your dashboard  until..... its good.

ftp any xbe file through neXgen will destroy the aka (default.xbe) in any program. Its not suggested and you should use EvoX for this...

kly69, if you have the ability to format the drive, you should have a way to put evox back on. Otherwise, how did you get evox onto the drive in the first place?

Please tell me what you did to fix this situation cause i'm having the same problem.   Nexgen was cool but when I tryed to go back it wouldn't do it and my old evox (1.8.458) boot cdrw will not boot completely.  So if you could let me know what you did that would be AWESOME.

Thanks in advance

I am successfully using neXgen as my default dashboard.

Edit: I have EvoX in my applications folder primarily to ftp.

I had that problem, but was still able to run boXplorer. I deleted everything that was nexgen and everything that was evoX off the HDD. I then renamed the original xbox dashboard to xboxdash.xbe. It loaded fine. All I had to do after that was load evoX off a cd and put it back on my HDD

I have tried to have this problem just to pinpoint a good solution to clear the forum.

I deleted all my dashboards, xboxdash, yboxdash, msxboxdash, nexgen and evox.  Rebooted a few times and got Error codes 13, 14, and 16.

Since I have been tweaking Slayer's to take some of the n00biness out of it, I decided to start there.

And that's as far as I needed to go.

Don't see any need to try boXplorer because I think the problem lies in your burning method.

Does your Evox disc have a default.xbe or evoxdash.xbe?

Hope this helps.

Did you ever get this sorted?  You have posted in so many different threads it's hard to keep up with.  Anyway you need to upgrade to the latest (1.8.3285) version of Evox.  I never tried your version but I can't imagine that it would do anything without an ini file of some type.  Seriously guy just get Slayers it is current and works great.
