CODE

Whoops I see one more. When importing an existing UXA skin and saving I get a "The given path's is not supported." error.

Strange, i've tried re-creating it since you posted but i've failed everytime.

You're importing a skin.xml and then just try to save it as a uxa project or do you mean you export it as a zip or folder?

The menu colors are part of of the colorschemes. They need to be changed ther.

And i made an obvious movement of 1 item. thats all.

I was about to say all bugs fixed. I will double check the folder issue when i get back to the doctors office. but at a quik glance, its ok. Were you trying to save to the same folder that you imported from?

BTW, mevinny was exporting an unzipped project when he got this error. Sounds like he saved it back to the same folder he imported it from. I didnt put a block on that, i only placed a block on  non uxa skins. so i need to see whats wrong.

Walk me thru it., Ive tried and cannot recreat it. I need to know what you do from the moment you start up uxa, to the moment it crashes. that way i can recreate it.

I did make a change, thinking this may be the problem. Before uxa would autocreate a directory for you when exporting the unzipped files. now it will be up to the user to hit the  "new folder" button when the directory dialog comes up, and create ther own folder where to zip.

Ok, alpha 1.6c is on the ftp.

Fixed: Alot.
Added: uxa now resizes background image to fit screenresolution(this is all done in memory so your original image remains the same size)

EDIT>> removed the capability to add a free menu item from the visual tab and added it to the main menu area.

EDIT>>Remeber, when exporting unzipped projects, you must now create the folder you want it in. uxa will no longer autocreate that folder.

whats left? i want to make uxa show a horizonatal menu.

Let me know if you find any new/old bugs.

Yep, Good as gold.

Edit: Whatever you did you fixed it.

mevinny

I think the part about uxa autocreating the folder is where it was crashing. it wasnt creating it everytime. Im glad I yanked it. I was hoping that would fix it.

I decided to finally add the tooltips(ive wanted to from the beginning). Im pleased with the layout. So its time to do it. Thank god the worst I could do is mis-spell or pop the wrong tool tip.

EDIT>> Im going to add a feature to enable/disable the tool tips. They may be helpfull at first, but then they get annoying.

Im keeping my fingers crossed. Report any bugs/post your colorthemes.

That's the only colorschemes i've made, if you feel they're up to it use and abuse them. silly rabbit.... teeheee. Oh and i've been running the latest upload.. works like a charm so far. I've said it before but i'll say it again... you da man, people are going to stop going to work when this baby is released, god damn what a fine job you've done  biggrin.gif

Idea 1:
Under Main Tab and on the menu settings could you consider making the Icons box unchecked as default, i think this mirrors how the majority of skins look like. And i have myself, saved skins, forgetting to un-check the box only to see the end result pointing fingers at me when it's been transferred to the xbox.

Idea 2: The ORB/GLOBE/FOG thingie, now... I honestly hate that thing, i think it looks  repulsive. BUT there are many who have a different view on the matter and this idea is for them. Is there anyway to get a graphical representatíon of it in UXA. A simple stillimage with matching cordinates for UnleashX will surely do, but placing text and menu items around it without knowing where it will show up when the skin is shown on the Xbox will prove rather difficult.

Other than that, damn! The rezising is wonderful, makes working with UXA a lot easier since there's less need to open Paint Shop Pro smile.gif Yeah, i'm lazy so what smile.gif

But on a more serious matter, it's pretty much good to go right. After the horizontal menu representation has been dealt with? I know i've only been testing for a very short while, and i've only had to dealt with "easy" bugs. But it still has been great fun. So thanks, i never knew bugtesting could be fun  biggrin.gif

PS. I'm not quitting, i'll continue searching for those bugs.

Thank you, this is all good news.

Ive always thought about the orb/globe. to get a transparent ping would be nice. but that would never happen. I would have to use a static image, but then ther will be people saying why cant i make the globe change colors. It would be nice.  but i dont think i would do it. who knows, maybe down the road.

Stranger007:

This thread has nothing to do with that skin, this is a thread about an UnleashX Skinning application called UnleashXArchitect wich is in the works by Hectobleezy. But i'll try downloading that skin for you right now and see if i can find out what the deal is.
