Skin Image Resolution?
« on: February 19, 2006, 05:24:00 AM »

hi guys, just a quick one really, I am wondering what res people usually create their bg images with for their skins.

Reason is that when I am doing my skins all my images seem to be a little soft or blurry when used within the skin. I could sharpen them up in an image editor program, but they look fine on my pc, but when I use them within a skin through the xbox they look blurred and lose their sharpness, both BG images and icons etc.

Hope this makes sense to someone, I can maybe grab some screenshots if I need to highlight the difference in quality if required.

Thanks

Cheers Jezz, thing is Im using a dual LCD tv at the moment, which has both my pc and xbox running through it, i simply change channel from AV to PC.

Like you say monitors are generally better anyway, so I guess im just gonna have to live with it, just frustrating when the nice clean images you knock up look a little fuzzy when u put them in your skin. not to worry, we plod on regardless, thanks anyway!
