I decided to revert back to the normal dashboard for a second to download something, and when i did, it rebooted, and then it gives me the kernel error.

13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.

I want at least some sort of dashboard back... is there anyway (besides gamesaves, i cant upload em) that i could revert it back? I have a broken xbox, it wont power up, but the HDD is good, maybe i could switch mine for it?? HELP WOULD BRING THANKS!

Btw, i did do a search, im just too dumb to understand what the topics mean

*edit* it probably wasnt the best idea to put it in the skins and tools section.... do'h

Softmod or Chip?

Softmod: Look up hotswapping and XboxHDM.

Chip: Make a boot disc so you can FTP and fix it.

so i use...XboxHDM, when hotswapping my xbox and my computer....hmmm........ but the mod chip WOULD be safer......i dont know what i SHOULD do....i might even be better off buying a new xbox, wouldnt i? i dont know....maybe... hmm........
