dude, the same exact thing happened to me. i changed to this "night elf" skin from warcraft and the "skins" option was no longer available making me stuck with the night elf skin. i'm sure someone on here more knowledgeable than me knows a better way, but i'll tell you what i did...(and forgive me if it's not too clear, because i'm at work now and just going off of memory)
i think it's under settings where you can view the directory that the skin is pulling from(that sounds gross!) Mine said C:/Night Elf. I went into the file explorer and renamed the problematic "Night Elf" folder "Problem". I then changed the name of a folder that I knew worked for certain to "Night Elf". So, then when I saved and restarted, the skin was changed and everything was fine! I then deleted the hell out of the "Problem" folder, lol.
Wish I knew a way that wasn't so rudimentary, but I hope this works!!
