when i het the white button to bring up the media player, nothing happens. I don't know if i'm missing something in my config.xml. or if i got a corupt .xbe. any help??

Are you using the latest version of UnleashX? If not, update it and it should work.
If you are: did it just suddenly stop working or has it never worked?

I do believe it's the latest version, it cames with slayers auto installer 2.7. And no it never worked. the option was on the skin i have and all the back grounds for the media player are there. is there a string of code in the config.xml that pertains to that switch?

Check your dashboard version by pressing Y anywhere in the menu system.
In the box that pops up, scroll down to the bottom and look for the header "UnleashX"
Somewhere in there should be a value named Version. Write down the version listed there and post it here.
