anyone else have an issue with a changed skin not saving on reboot?  I set my skin to PM3, looks/works great, but it resets to the default skin on reboot.  clean install with stock config file

Good work on the release.

I assume the FAT support is only up to 4gb (same as XBMC)

just rename it as evoxdash.xbe or unleashx.xbe or xboxdash.xbe ... (check your bios wiki) and place it in C:\ on your xbox (or wherever you store your dashboards)

I guess I don't have to worry about updating UX anymore, since that advice just killed my softmod. Where do I go to learn how to replace one file after getting the unnumbered error?

I believe what you want to do is to start your xbox with the disc of what ever game you used to softmod already in the drive. If you can get the game to start, you can load up the exploit again and get FTP access from it.

Sweet, will have to run the update.  While I never noticed any memory issues with the dash it's nice to see that it has been tightened up.

UX, any chance copy/paste ability in the text editor is being looked at as a future enhancement?  Even if it was only within one file (i.e., can't copy from one file, close it, open a different file and then paste) it would be a great addition.

Nope, still the error. Should I just cut my losses and reformat?

@Matt Devo,
Are you sure you are actually saving the skin, as opposed to setting it temporarily? After selecting the skin (PM3), press "A" again or "Start" to save it. If that doesn't work, I guess you have the faulty config.xml, in which case, you can delete (or rename) it and start over again.

@stanley87,
No. A 30GB iPod has been reported to work. My 60GB FAT32 formatted mobile HDD is *partially* working as well.

@Whoopin,
I'll see how this can be done

@blademaster591,
Are you looking at the right place? I'm pretty sure it's there.

@Reese Kaine,
You should consult in the softmod forum. I think depends on the softmod you use, the files are stored differently. Some are in E:\Dashboards, but that's the farthest I'm accustomed to softmod. What particular error are you getting? Dashboard error, or error in the dash, or what?

Don't reformat, by the way. You will render you Xbox useless.

I updated from v .38 0515 build 565

Doesn't V0.39.0528a Build 584 have an emulator selection menu?

I'm just getting a general "Needs servicing" message, no error in the corner, even with an original disc inserted. I think it was the Ndure hack, because I remember seeing Splinter Cell being run when the local techie was working on it a few years back.

It might already be useless, since the drive is a replacement HD, I no longer have FTP access, nor do I have access to a second modded Xbox (Actually, I do have access to one, but the guy charges $50 per job, no matter how small, even if it's just to replace one measly file).

I agree, this portion should be moved to an appropriate forum, I just felt the need to address what happened first. Thank you for understanding.
