I'm guessing you have your stock hard drive still in your xbox, and if that's the case it doesn't have enough space for halo or halo 2. As for burning games, see the pinned topics in the backups forums and for help networking your xbox go to the FAQ forum.

I backed Halo 2 up fine w/out upgrading my hard drive.... It took a long time though (17 min.)

Not sure... But google is your friend lol... I ripped halo 2 w/out a new hdd, and w/out crossover cables... I just ripped it like a regular game...
