Hi

I don't know if this is the right forum for my problem, but I can't seem to find out why UnleashX is behaving like that.
I have a softmodded xbox, Softmodded with Krazie's Ndure installer 1.0
I used the same softmod package, to softmod the xboxes of my friends. They were interested to play emulated games on their xbox console.
However, whenever I put the latest xsnes into E:\emus and reboot their console, UnleashX freezes at the UnleashX logo. For me, however, it works just fine. I have a 1.6 xbox, as do 2 of my buddies (the other one owns an older one, probably 1.3). The only difference there is, is that I have an upgraded HD, also it also works fine on my stock HD. Everything is set up in the same way, yet their xboxes freeze on boot, mine boots fine with xsnes installed. I even tried copying over the emulator from my xbox to theirs. Still, to no avail.
I also helped someone over the internet a few days ago softmodding his xbox (with another package, tho), he has the same result.

what is causing this problem? Is there any way to fix this?

I've heard of UnleashX going into loops because of offending xbe's, generally Emus.  I, however have not had this problem once.  You may want to try replacing the unleash xbe and config.xml just to see if it makes a difference.  That's all I can think of.

unfortunatelly, this doesn't work. Thats the one thing i tried.

But I fail to see why it works fine on my xbox, but not on my buddies'. We run the same exploit, we run the same dash, we run the same emu, but it wont work on their xboxes

Don't know but have you tried deleteing the emu to see if it unfrezzes UnleashX.   Just curious if it is the sole problem

yes, it does not freeze when we remove the xsnes emu again.

I take it then, that noone knows how to fix this?

Well useally xleashX fails because of a bad xbe name or xbe title image but since the exact same thing works on another xbox i'm stumped

I booted into SC, and then FTPed into the xbox to remove the xsnes emu. While we were at my buddies I had to use my xbox FTP browser to do so.

There was report on corrupted Icons resulting UnleashX to crash several years ago.

The only way to solve it is by following these steps:

1. Delete the save file of the following application (thus eliminate the corrupted Icon)

2. Update your application to the newest version. (The newest Xsnes9X shouldn't have this problem)
