Samsung 6616 Turning And Turning And Turning

Sorry for my english

i have installed a 616T instead of my phillips drive, works really fine.But when i put a cd (or cdrw or dvd..) and play a movie on my HD or play a game or just stay on Evolution X, the drive still turning, turning and turning. Any explanation ?
