It's xboxdash, all one word, not sure if that's just a typo in your post or not.   Make an UnleashX cd, once unleashx is running off the cd ftp the right stuff to your xbox.  The directions for burning a cd to be used to boot a dashboard should be tutorials somewhere, I haven't had to burn a dashboard cd in 2 years so I forget how to do it.

Sounds to me like hes got  softmod and not a modchip and overwrote the files needed for the exploit

I do have a softmod, and i can't get it to ftp with a retail game in it.  My dvd drive won't read byrnt cd but will read burnt dvds.  Is my only option to get a a mod chip or can I make a boot cd and put it on dvd so it will read it.  Thanks for your help so far.  I sure could use more though because I'm goin crazy, its been a week with no xbox.  PLEASE HELP!  Thnak you all.

No harm in trying... Make sure you have your relevant network stuff set up before you burn it...

If you can get hold of the original retail game that the exploit uses (SC, AUF, MA) then hopefully the exploit game save will still be there (thus be able to run it and get ftp access).
