I think that it might be my electrical outlet.  The power in this house is screwy.  For example, if I giggle the power cord for my phone in another room, the power will go out in my computer room (where my XBOX is).  I have my XBOX working, but I had to plug it in to a unused electrical outlet.

im having the same prob, i thougt it was over heating at first so i tryed to use it with the lid off,but no joy. there are a lot of people having this prob but no one really knows what to do,i left a post a few days ago in the modchip scetion i was told that it mite be a cold solider point so im going to try and resolider it  tonight,will let you know how it went, i dont if if yours is the same but mine dont do it,till its been shutdown and turned back on. it doese not matter if iv had it on 10mins or 10 hours it will play fine till i turn it off and reboot it. then i mite have to leave it off for 1 hour or 1 day and it will just start working fine agian. if someone knows what this prob is please help all of us with tis prob
