The only thing I can think of so far, as I don't have a lot of info, is to check the fuse on the power supply.  Maybe when you hooked it up to the other power source, the fuse went bad (zapped it).  Hence, nothing happens.  Good luck, anymore info would be helpful in getting it working though.

nope no pop and fizzle and i tried 4 different outlets...i dont know how much more information i can possibly give because thats all the information i know right now.  do you think if they ran the bag through a metal detector it could have fucked it up?

Running it through a metal detector will not damage it.  There's a tutorial for replacing the fuse, very easy, you should at very least put a continuity checker on the fuse socket to see if there is continuity on each side of the fuse.  No nothing means no power, no power=something wrong with the PS, or something else down the line.  It is a good place to start to say the least.  If that is not the problem, you can go from there.

well come to think of it, i brought my N64 the 1st time i went to florida
What was the bootup screen? did it look like the old xbox boot screen without a modchip in it?...what chip? X2? it may be the d0 wire...could've been shaken off the motherboarduser posted image
