An odd thing I noticed when I boot the Retail MS Dash with the Halo 2 disc.....(NOT a backup)   It Shows the White MS Studios screen and now I can't skip it like you normally can and then the screen goes black, and I see a number Percentage Loading until it reaches 100%.
Then it goes to the Halo 2 Menu Screen where you select what part of the game you want to play.....

Weird

Still Love UnleashX though!

I have an Xenium ICE chip in and my hard drive has never been changed.
Have been using this same xbox since Halo2 came out.
Just wanted to know if someone else could confirm this problem or knows anything....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  

Could everyone stop bashing Unleash as well as the creator?? I mean, c'mon, its FREE....Not to mention........I don't know of anything without bugs.
I gotta agree with Mdisturbed.....These dev. do have jobs and fams to attend to besides this stuff. so.......quit freekin' out, and kut em some slack....I'm done talkin' on this matter.

ALSO: Have the newest version of QWIX and it fails when I try to use it now after I installed the New UnleashX.  Never had a problem with QWIX until now.  Even tried using good ol' Flash FXP......still no luck.

i have my machine all set up so that there is 1 plug and when you plug it into the wall the arcade machine and xbox turn on (because my xbox power button is always pressed in) and the dash boots and plays random mp3s....i used to use avalaunch as you can see in the pics and liked it alot but i decided to migrate to unleashX for animated menus and vids...i have unleashx all set it goes straight to my games list and begins playing mp3s just like my old dash did but better now....so here is the bug i found in latest public version

when you just have :

    <F:/hddloader>

it will list all your games right off the bat !  but if your preview video starts playing also for the default game it will stop the random mp3 from playing...it is taking too much resources for unleashX to load the first random mp3 and start playing a preview vid all at once at boot

maybe this can be fixed in next version...

QUICK FIX:


</menu>
  <Action\>"Play DVD" button
  <F:/hddloader>

this way when the xbox boots it goes straight to the games list and begins playing mp3s but since the default selection is "play DVD" button there is no preview and the mp3 plays fine...this further points to a resources deficiency!

that has been fixed already in the WIPs, so it will be fixed in the next public release

you prolly have this implemented correctly on your box, but the syntax in your posting here is WAY off.  i'm just pointing this out so that masses of people don't get confused and further contribute to the chaos of this thread.

here's is the correct syntax your original menu:

<Menu>
<Path>F:\hddloader</Path>
</Menu>

your workaround:

<Menu>
<Item Action="LaunchDVD">Launch DVD</Item>
<Path>F:\hddloader</Path>
</Menu>

@jmodz try clearing your x,y,z drives and also your e:\cache folder. (just the files in the folder, NEVER delete the folder itself

And I also tested the bug I reported earlier about SonicMegaCollection Plus not loading in the .37 version........it loads fine in .36!  But not in .37

However.......when I have UnleashX installed as an App and not as the bootable dashboard.........all applications work perfectly (although it shows no icons for ComplexTools).

Any ideas?

Actually......after deleting Complex and reinstalling it through EVOX......it works fine in Unleash.  

Which leads me to believe UnleashX is corrupting files (again) via FTP, because when I install it using UnleashX via FTP it has no icon and then freezes and causes the problems above........but when I installed it via EVOX FTP and loaded Unleash as an app.......everything was fine.
