Need Help Booting To Unleashx

sounds like maybe you have the "evoxdash.xbe" in your dahsboard folder, and should have it named "default.xbe" (as this may be what your bios is looking for) although i am very unfamiliar with soft mods...

if you have done that... then you may need a boot disc to change these files around or just rename them with a file manager, such as unleashx's.

in short, if the old dash was named "default.xbe" then thats what the unleashX xbe has to be named as well.

also, it may create a config file itself on the C drive once loaded.

give that a shot...

if you can get evox to boot... why not just flash it with a bios that looks for evoxdash.xbe in the root of the c drive, and throw unleashX there?

well, evox has a built in flash tool... i flashed it from the hard drive, and not a dvd though.

im sure you know the dangers of a bad flash, so be careful, or even search for an alternate answer, i wouldnt want you rendering teh xbox useless.

also, xecuter 4983.xx wont let you adjust any settings, so youll have to use 4981.xx or earlier.

QUOTE
and I've replaced the files in the dashboard folder (evox.ini, default.xbe). I replaced these files with the Config.xml and UnleashX that were from my other Xbox

sounds like this is all you needed to do.  you want to re-install UDE2 or UXE and get back to where you can boot to evox again.  after that, just replace the evox files in the dashboard folder with the UX files
